OK, I know I said before that I would be writing some movie reviews, and don't worry, I'm working on it. But here's a book review on Nate Saint for you to read in the meantime! I wrote it for my Honors English class a few weeks ago, and I want to share it with you. Hit "Continue Reading" below and enjoy.

Gentle Ben is set in the Alaskan wilderness, where a boy named Mark lives with his mother and father and....his pet bear. Well, he would like it to be his, anyway.
His father is a fisherman, and every year he goes out into the harbor, hoping to strike it rich, for the annual salmon run. Mark always stays home with his mother on these trips, taking care of the small farm they own. On a small hill near their cottage, is an old shed. Here, lives a brown bear named Ben. Everyday after school, Mark secretly feeds Ben his leftover lunch, and they become good friends.
As it turns out, the bear belongs to a man named Fog Benson, who has only one thing on his mind. Target practice. Fog Benson ends up making offers to anyone who wants to shoot the bear, and Mark must save his friend at all costs.
I'm not much for animal stories, but I really liked this book! Ocean adventures, bear fights, and great friendships! This is not a book to be missed!
"More than a fine animal story...Gentle Ben is a memorable reading experience." -Library Journal
